In less than 30 minutes of arriving at Singapore’s airport -Singapore Changi Airport – I was already halfway in love with the country.

Those first 30 minutes in a new country can tell you so much about a country and it’s people. Within that short time frame, I was made to feel very welcomed. The airport staff were very friendly and helpful and there was none of those fake smiles or half-hearted greetings.

Where is Ohrid, you ask? Ohrid is a small city in Macedonia.

Never head of Macedonia either? Well it’s located in South-East Europe; bordering Kosovo, Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece, and Albania.

This is beginning to sound a bit like a geography lesson lol!

If you hadn’t heard of Ohrid or Macedonia, don’t worry, you’re not the only one. Most people that I have spoken to about my trip to Ohrid, had never heard of Ohrid or Macedonia.

Ten tips for taking amazing pictures on your solo trip

In an ideal world, you’d meet a hot local on your travels, who not only wants to show you around their hometown, but who also turns out to be a talented photographer and wants to help you get them Instagram worthy shots.

Well in reality, there isn’t a hot local turned photographer, or maybe I’m just not that lucky lol. In my experience, there is just me and my camera.

This, however, does not mean you can’t get them Instagram worthy pictures on your solo trip. Quite a number of my favourite travel pictures, are pictures that I took while solo travelling.

I’m not here to dispel the myths of hostels, not in this post anyway.

Stepping out of my comfort zone in Bucharest 

This post is a follow up to my previous post in which I asked you guys to set me tasks to get me out of my comfort zone on my second solo trip. If you haven’t read that post, it’s probably best to have a read of it before you continue with this post.

It would’ve been very easy to lie about my trip, but what good would it have done? There is something quite therapeutic about getting things off my chest and showing you all a side of myself that I have kept under wraps. I am going to keep it 100% real with y’all.
